A bit early to tell, but....

I'm a medical transcriptionist trying to transition from MSWORD to OpenOffice. Not an easy task, but I SO want to get away from Microsoft!! I've used Stedman's Spellchecker for years and it's wonderful, with yearly updates, etc. Of course, it doesn't work with OpenOffice. I didn't expect the OpenMedSpel to take it's place, and it doesn't seem it will; still, it does have lots of commonly used words and is saving me some "Autocorrect" work. What I'll miss most from Stedman's is the updated pharm words. Also, I admit I really do miss the automatic replacement of misspelled words with the correct spelling [I believe that's an OO function, not the MedSpel].

All in all, less than what I need but I'm still grateful that it exists.
